Who says bloggers aren’t journalists? Democrat convention organisers in the US issued 120 media credentials specifically for bloggers at this year’s convention.  Another 500 authorised bloggers are reporting from the two-storey “Big Tent” set up outside the convention where $100 buys you a workspace, free wi-fi and all the beer you can drink.

You didn’t really think Microsoft would go away that easily? With technical evangelists talking it up in every corner of the blogosphere it would be hard to miss the beta release of Photosynth, one of a series of innovative software projects coming out of the Microsoft pipeline at the moment. So any budding photojournalists should give it a try starting with your messy college dorm room.
